To all of you that heard my music and gave it such awesome scores and to those who gave me such useful and/or supportive reviews. Thank you.
Having one of my songs in the top 50 miscellaneous is quite satisfying to see (especially since the scores there are impressively high!). I know it won't last long, but as long as I know that it WAS there is enough for now. It's good to see that once in a while I come up with a musical idea that turns out to be ok. It gives me the incentive to improve and make something better than the previous creation.
Lol... don't worry, I don't consider myself an artist. It would be insulting to the real ones out there in NG. The ones that with their music kidnap your soul and make it take an emotional ride for a few minutes.
For now all I can do is thank you once more and try to make something even better next time.

Oh Stalagmite, if by chance you'll read this I'll try and do the "homework" you gave me here, lol. Maybe not in these two-three weeks because the presentation of my thesis is approaching real fast, but as soon as possible.

To be a writer one does not need a pen and paper. they just need the active mind and creative ideas. the pen and paper are merely the medium that transports the ideas from your mind to the physical realm.
THE same applies with music. so long as you create and structure the music within your mind, and that idea can give you chills and sparks emotions; THAT is being a "REAL" musician. they just have practice at getting their ideas onto paper.
YOU need practice. you are already a good musician. ask lots of people who do NOT congregate on a music/ animation website. they propably couldnt structure a single chord or sensical melody.
You can. and you only do it for fun. If you can produce it "just for fun" and it be this good. WTF, is your serious concentrated emotion that you really go for going to sound like?
you wont ever get their. unless you get rid of this doubt. and stop measuring and comparing yourself to others. you create a subconscious sense of insignificance, that ultimately destroys your musical confidence, and may effect your future work.
To begin making music... first.... Accept you are a musician. :D:D:D

I got the picture. I'm always cautious in taking the "self-confidence-route" since it might lead to getting cocky and arrogant. I tend to prefer being modest and cheerful and praise other people's work, but I do agree that it often sets my goals to a lower level.
Thanks for the advice dude. Even though it's hard to change a state-of-mind I'll give it a try. It might be pleasantly awarding :o).
